Roommate question!

<p>I've already signed my housing contract for next year - I'll be living in a double in a quad suite at North Quad.</p>

<p>My question is, when do I find out who my roommates are? I've never lived with anyone before, let alone 3 other girls, so I'd really like to see if we can all get to know each other a little bit, work out who's bring what, etc. before September when we all show up to move in.</p>

<p>So anyone else who's done housing at UMich before - how long after you sign your roommate contract does it take for you to get info on your roommates?</p>

<p>Also, do they send you emails about like what to bring to your dorm, dorm living guidelines, general info, etc. as the move-in date nears? I know it's months from now but I'm going crazy with excitement and curiosity!!</p>

<p>I got the names and contact information of my roommates a few weeks after I signed my triple last year. This fall I will be in a single so I can’t speak for the current roommate process, but as long as you can get in contact a few weeks before moving in it shouldn’t make much difference. Make a rudimentary list of what to bring after you read this post, tape it to your fridge, and keep revising it this whole summer. Inquire if your suite is carpeted. You got into North Quad as a freshman? If you like space and quiet or Kerrytown, it should be enjoyable.</p>
