roommate requests and housing priority

just wanted to get anyone's personal experience if you were in this situation...

nyu housing has said priority works like this:

ED (including ED-ED roommate requests), ED-RD roommate requests, and finally RD (including RD-RD roommate requests).

was anybody in the ED-RD situation as an incoming freshman? i know they say they randomly look at applications within each of the above groups. did you end up with your first or second choice for housing still?

thanks.

bump - anybody?

I know people who did ED-RD housing, they didn't get their first choice dorm (Hayden) but got their second choice (Rubin). I don't think there is a clear cut policy on this matter.

My friend and I are just sending in our deposits now (Monday, probably). What are the odds of us being able to room together in our first, second, or third choice dorms?

(As of now, we've chosen 3rd Ave North, U Hall, Hayden, Rubin.. though we might cut U Hall and bump the latter choices up on the list)
