hey guys! this may be a dumb question, but i just wanted to make sure, all freshmen are paired with freshmen for roommates right?

I know a couple freshman who have junior transfers as roommates.

Actually most freshmen on my floor have at least one older roommate. Of the 11 rooms on my floor that have at least one freshman that I can think of right off the bat, only 4 are all freshmen rooms.

I would say it is most common to have freshman as roommates, but there are a couple of exceptions.

My son has freshmen roommates but a girl from his high school has 2 sophomores as roommates

Not necessarily. I’m a first year and I got paired up with a second year.

It also depends a lot on what hall you get assigned. If you get assigne to Hedrick Hall, you’ll most likely have freshmen roommates because not many older students signed up there. If you get put somewhere like Rieber, it means you are most likely filling in rooms that were only partially filled by upperclassmen.

Mmmm it depends. MOST do, but there IS a chance that you will get paired up with either transfers or second years that don’t have roommates. Myself, I’m going to be a second year without a roommate, so I’m probably going to get a freshman or transfer roommate assigned.
