is there a way to find out who your roommate is online?

Not that I know of. But there is a way to find out your house early. It should be listed on your E-Bill released on August 1.

My E-bill was posted, but it doesn’t say anything about where, or who I’ll be living with…

I believe its in the recent activity part.

No, this year’s E-bill is very vague, and says nothing about where you’re going to be living…

Received an email a couple days ago! Single room (as I had requested) in BAR. I’m going to assume that “BAR” is Barnard (?)
According to the housing website, Barnard, along with Vanderbilt Hall, has music practice rooms. Does that mean there are actually going to be some pianos, or just some empy soundproof rooms?

I’m not so certain about Barnard, but I believe the Crawford music rooms had pianos. I’d expect the others to be the same.

My D was in Barnard - it wasn’t bad. I do recall seeing pianos in Vandy-Barnard.

Sorry for being so inquisitive, kelsmom, but what are the bathrooms like there? Shared? Communal? How about water fountains, microwaves, stoves, refrigerators, and frequency of theft from refrigerator (if any fridge at all)? Laundry?

Barnard has communal bathrooms, which staff cleaned. Some of the students were very bad about cleaning up after themselves, but the staff did a decent job of staying on top of things. My daughter & her roommate had a refrigerator & a microwave in their room, so they didn’t use the communal kitchen area. They kept a Britta pitcher in their refrigerator, so I am not sure about drinking fountains. I think there is a mini-mart in the dorm, where you can purchase items with your flex meal points.

I thought the dorm was pretty nice, overall. She was in Carmichael Towers the following year, and I thought Vandy-Barnard was a lot nicer than that.
