heyy..i'm an accepted student and I'm sooo excited..the only thing i'm worried about is housing for next year!! i really want to be in a double my freshman year but what are the chances of that if i don't have someone who I can request to room with?? should i really try to find someone specific who i could request to be my roommate or is there a good chance if i request a double i will be given one??

You can request a double or a single and the housing office will try to meet your request. Last year, there was apparently a shortage of doubles though so some who had requested one were still placed in a single. Specifying a roommate seemed to guarantee you the double.

Not true. I know a few people who applied to be roommates together, but were both given singles. But to make up for it, I think they were made hallmates (both had singles on the same hall). But I think there's only about 3-5% of people that request doubles that don't get one.
