My D just found out that she will be a PA in Roper Hall next year. Does anyone know anything about Roper/Clark? She thinks she heard something about a lack of storage…

Hello - I just saw you post and sorry, I don’t have the reply but am looking as well. My son just got his assignment from UC in Roper and I also would like to know more into, esp since it’s the smallest bldg (I think) and next to construction of new SIS bldg
so, if anyone else has any info on rooms, distance, storage (esp important as he is coming from overseas), thx too

Roper and Clark are the newest dorms on campus, so students have only occupied these dorms for one academic year.

Pros:
- Newer
- Nice lounges
- Average size rooms
- Close to the Library, and SIS building (the campus is fairly small so no one has a real ‘hike’ anywhere).

Cons:
They do lack the floor to ceiling storage that Anderson and Letts have. I highly recommend buying bed risers, and getting storage such as drawers and crates to fit under there. Especially if you/your son/daughter is packing a lot of stuff.

Neutral:
- Smallest dorms on campus at 54 students, 2 floors, L shaped building.
- Double door security.

With regard to Roper Hall, it is not new…it is “new.” Originally built as dormitories, Roper, McCabe, Clark, and Gray Halls pre-date the other dorms on campus. However, for many years, they have not been used as dormitories. Roper and Clark have now been renovated and repurposed as dormitories. These are relatively small two-story buildings, as opposed to the 6-7 story buildings of Anderson, Letts, Centennial, McDowell, Hughes, and Leonard Halls.
