I am from Hong Kong. Intended major is most likely engineering, although I'm not sure which yet. If it doesn't work out, I will be doing Physics. I can't imagine doing something not sciency or mathy because it's what I'm good at ;P.

I'm accepted to Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a $5000 scholarship. That is, of course, not a whole lot of money but it's enough to cover some miscellaneous expenses including my air tickets!! I am seriously considering committing.

Frankly, I had never heard of RHIT before. I don't think anyone from my country have either. So I'm not very sure if this is a good choice.

-Location: Terre Haute, Indiana USA

-#1 for 13 years in usnews ranking for best undergraduate engineering program where doctorate degree is not offered, ties with Harvey Mudd!! (#4 is Cooper Union, #5 Cal Poly, #9 Bucknell, etc.) It's ranking is unbelievably high. But I'm a bit doubtful about it being at the same level with Harvey Mudd and Cooper Union. I mean, it's Harvey Mudd

-Small school with only majors in engineering, sciences, and maths. No doctorate degrees and it focuses on ug education.

-Around 550 in freshmen class, with about 100 female student, and about 40 int'l student. I'm worried that in such a small school with horrible m-to-f ratio, I will be too much of a minority. The idea of it freaks me out.

-Is constantly sending email to 'congratulate me'. I'm receiving 2 emails on avg. per week for about 3 weeks. Lol. I assume it really wants to admit me?

Would you guys have any extra comments on this choice?
