[Rose Towers demolition set for July 4 | TuscaloosaNews.com](http://www.tuscaloosanews.com/article/20120608/NEWS/120609806?tc=cr)

to occur on July 4

Second phase of North Bluff Residential Community to start construction soon after

I hear that casinoexec is organizing a tailgate event and live webcast hosted by Rece Davis. :)

Be sure to come out for the festivities. We’re going to lure the Branch Bovinians from the former East Alabama male college (auburn aka Bovine U) inside with the promise of free livestock moments before we implode the place.

A state free of barners is truly Independence.

Free livestock moments. I like that.

Why are they doing it on the 4th? Are they looking for a time when there won’t be as many people around or something?

lol I guess I should have used a comma there. But the way it reads would be correct as well.

^^^LOL. Ladies and germs, I present the Pied Piper of Tuscaloosa.

So, it’s going down in an implosion?

^^^yes, that is correct…

is it true they’re building a new rec facility in the northern part of campus?

yes indeedy

It will go up in between the two new dorms (one of which is almost complete). It is said that it will have a scenic view of the Black Warrior, which must mean that it will be at least several stories high.

between presidential village and the new thing? so it would be within walking distance of pretty much all the suite dorms, right?

Anyone know what the timing is on the new dining hall and the new rec building?
