Rosen and UCF main campus classes

Hi again!

So I am accepted for the Fall 2011 term, and I'm going to major in Hospitality Management.
I will not live in any campus, so driving is my thing.
I want to take as many classes as possible at the Rosen college, knowing that some General Education classes are available.
Can anyone tell me all the ones that are only available at UCF Main campus?
or does it change every semester?

I would recommend checking out Housing near UCF. Pegasus Landing is OK, but offers a shuttle service to and from campus. The same applies to some of the Housing options nearby. The Shuttle from the Pegasus Landing drops you off at the Student Union. From there, you can also take a Shuttle to and from Rosen College. It’s a great deal since it’s about a 35-40 minute drive and can save a lot of money as gas prices are going higher and higher :(. Are you a freshman or a transfer student? I know a lot of your General Education courses, such as English, Math, Humanities, and others are offered on the Main Campus. I believe maybe one or two are offered at Rosen. As you get into your Intro class, that’s mainly offered on Main Campus and recommend taking Scott Smith for HFT 1000. When you choose your classes through the MyUCF portal, it will tell you in the “Class Notes” section where it’s located. A lot of courses that are geared more to your degree will be offered at Rosen, though some might be offered at Main Campus, but only one or two sections of that particular class. You might see some courses that are Mixed Mode. That means you will have some online content and it meets usually one day a week. Hope this helps some.

I can’t give you any specifics, but I attended the open house the Rosen College recently because I’m accepted for Fall 2011 as well  and I spoke to a person who works in undergrad who said it was possible to do all 4 years on the Rosen campus if you’re not picky on what general ed classes you want to take. This could be wrong information, so you might want to verify it, but that’s what I was told :)

My d wants to live on this campus her freshman year. I know it’s mostly upper classman. Will she be out of place? Or will she miss out on a real college experience by living there? I know the shuttle only runs 4 days a week. What do the freshmen do on the weekends?

Congrats! I got accepted into UCF as well and will also be majoring in Hospitality Management. Hopefully we’ll be classmates or something lol xD. I’ve contemplated this as well, and decided to live on the main campus, since I heard that freshmans don’t usually have that many classes in their major anyway. So I’ll be living on the main campus at Towers and will drive or take the shuttle to Rosen.
