Rosen/Hospitality Grad Students - Living?

I'm applying for Spring admission to the Hospitality & Tourism Management MS at Rosen. Where do people attending this program typically live (other than Rosen College Student Apartments)?

Where is a good place to find people looking for roommates? I'm assuming I might have a bit of trouble finding someone, as I'll be moving in in Spring & not Fall.

Any help or advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Em

There is an apartment complex right across the street from the Rosen campus called The District. Alot of the students live there and they have 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments. They are not cheap, however (but just as cheap as the dorms!). There are some other complexes which are pretty nice around 5-10 minutes down the road as well, The Vinings and Broadwater. They are a little cheaper and pretty nice too. As far as roommates, try the Rosen Facebook page possibly?

Thank you, alongwait. I saw The District online… it looks fairly nice! But not too cheap, you’re right.
Hopefully I won’t have too much trouble finding roommates!

Well if you’re an incoming freshmen you probably won’t have any classes at the Rosen College yet, and if so just one or two. Most of your classes will be at the UCF main campus, which is a 30-40 minute drive away! I would stay on campus the first year or two, and then when your studies get more direct towards the Rosen College, switch your living situation to there.

Thank you, LauraG, but I’ll be in the masters program so most of my classes should be at Rosen.

We toured the District and the 2 bedrooms are NICE! It’s only a year old and has alot of amenities. It’s a stones throw from the Rosen campus and in the heart of the hotel district. Feels safe and seems pretty secure.
