How effective do you guys think the Rosetta Stone language learning software is? Has anyone used it, and did you like it? Also, would completing a language on Rosetta Stone which they don't offer in school be something college application worthy? http://www.rosettastone.com/en/?a=b
Im really interested in taking the Latin Level 1 one.
Thanks =),

My friend's mom used it for Spanish for her job. I think it worked very well for her.

No, it's not college-level worthy because you do not study grammar at all. You don't learn about the culure, etc... You just remember basic vocab ("dog", "the girls jump", "the man walks in the door"). It's really for people who already speak the language and would like to sound native.
