Has anyone ever used the Rosetta Stone language software. I am interested in buying one, but I'd like someone's opinion before I purchase it. :)

Unless you have a crapload of money, or want it for business purposes or obscure languages, I'd just use this online translator:

http://www.systransoft.com/index.html

I've never used it, but I'm told it's the best language learning software out there.

It is, particularly for the more obscure languages. And it can usually be executed quickly.

Bump. --->

Whoa, that's really expensive...but I guess if you have the dedication and commitment $300 doesn't seem too expensive for competency in another language.

i heard that it is a is a waste of money in some languages and totally worth it for others. what language do you want to learn? also... a good thing to do is check it out on amazon.com for either used versions OR jsut for some customer reviews.

Probably French... maybe Greek. Maybe both. I'm not sure yet. :)

Do you think it'd be difficult to learn two languages at once using Rosetta Stone for both languages? Or should I wait until I'm finished with one, then move to the next.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes to become ''fluent'' using Rosetta Stone?

Bump........
