Ross/LSA EA Chance Me (Updated)

I am a senior in high school who loves math and business. I’d be happy to go to Michigan whether I get into Ross or not. Therefore, I would major in math (maybe data science) or get a BBA and minor in Entrepreneurship. I’ve also toured Michigan and it’s currently my first choice. Please chance me below!

Ross is a reach for everyone. You are competitive, ACT is the only problem area in your profile. Mich does not superscore. You could consider IOE with minor in business if Ross does not work out.

Dude
. You really want to go to Michigan huh. Like 13 threads… Lol…
Many of your questions have been answered already. Your fine now relax.

I like your attitude about still going to Michigan if you don’t get into Ross. You can still go into business without Ross. Michigan has many opportunities to get involved and do business things outside of Ross. If you want it, you can make it happen at Michigan.

Yes, I know it’s excessive and I am a nervous person so I get worried. Luckily almost all of my questions have been answered, so thanks for your help through this process. I’ll return in mid December ?

I will have to look into IOE. It looks very interesting, so I’m startled I didn’t notice it on my tour (perhaps I was too focused on Ross)

I think I mentioned this before. After researching it if you have questions about IOE my son is a Junior in it. He has done more business stuff on campus then most Ross kids. Again, if you want it you can make it happen at Michigan.

@ryanebord54 LMAFO maybe you can start a thread exclusively for you.

Ross is the shiny new toy in a GREAT school. Doing a BBA is most overrated. I interview on campus for a consulting firm each year since graduating and I find IOE kids more rounded than Ross kids.

Come back in January - See what happens with EA and play the game. As long as you have the requirements cross campus transfer into engineering is usually easy. They will not put it in writing but generally true. IOE

Just an FYI.

Since I/we don’t have the a full breakdown of Class of 2023 statistics (although the class appears to be larger by 166 students 6,664 vs 6,830), here’s the breakdown for enrolled Class of 2022:

As you can see, Ross likely has about 500 or less enrolled spots for freshman. It’s a tough admit. And I’d guess much of the admissions decision will depend on your Ross portfolio.

Another stat to keep in mind is that about 45% of the entire freshman class is OOS (not including international). And that % has been decreasing the last 3 years.

@MichiganMBA99
They do put it in writing… Lol. https://www.engin.umich.edu/admissions/undergrad/cross-campus-students/admissions/

I agree it’s pretty easy. It seems that Michigan wants to support the students interests.

As an aside. Any hints on how my Junior IOE son can get a consulting internship PM me… ?

@knowsstuff
Sorry, start-up trouble. How do I PM?

Deciding whether to come up from Chicago for the Michigan /Michigan State game… Hmmm. Might just leave early in the morning…

Thanks for the replies! I have always been between engineering and business so I can definitely see myself at IOE! I’m excited to see what will come
