Ross Mathematics Program 2013

Anyone applied and heard back about their decision?

All of my materials arrived yesterday, and I got waitlisted the same day.

@Callcc , How many problems did you solve and do you know anyone who got accepted?

Oh woaw… that was soon… So I guess the longer it takes for them to reply, the longer they are hesitating with a decision?

@VioletRibbons - How many problems did you solve?

Well, I did them all, but I’m not sure if they were all correct, and some of the proofs may have lacked complete coverage. Also, loads of the questions had part b or further questions, and I wasn’t always able to answer them all fully, but I did cover all of them and had at least an answer for every question… you?
Furthermore, I just received an email from them, because I sent one asking whether they received my materials, and they replied that they have, its currently with the selection committee, and that I would hear via email within a few days.

Just got rejected 1 day after they recieved my materials.

They just accepted me, and they apparently received my application Friday, so it also just took them a day.

Hey, I had a question for anyone who is attending/has attended the Ross program. Have any of you experienced trouble with missing school in order to attend, because the program starts 3 weeks before my summer holidays. Is that also the case with most other schools, and if so, was your school generally very lenient with allowing you to miss school to attend?

3 weeks seems like a lot of school to miss but maybe your school is lenient. In the years I’ve been at Ross I never heard of anyone getting out of weeks of school though.

I got accepted off the waitlist today!
