This is a thread for the Ross Mathematics Program at the Ohio State University for those interested in this program.
Who’s applying this year?
I got rejected a few days ago, solved 6/8, but I did not prove them, I just experimented a lot until I could describe a pattern. Suggestion for other people doing the problems, go to the nearest university and get a book on number theory, and google theorems constantly. I’m applying to PROMYS and making sure my answers are airtight. I had my application done on Feb 28 rejected on March 5th for you statisticians.
Accepted today 
I showed work on all the problems but there were two parts to this one question that I sorta just stopped in the middle cuz my work was getting really technical and I wasn’t sure where I was going. Didn’t read teacher letter but I’m sure it was very good. Sent in the last of my application on March 15th.

@Eodmgi funny, 7 was one of the only ones that clicked for me pretty much right away! also, congrats! it gets harder to get in the longer it goes-- I think as of yesterday (so the day after you got accepted?) there were 30+ applications to fill 5 slots.
@pseudoprimal yeah, I was planning on applying day 1, but school got in the way, so I applied on april 1st. It’s a good thing I asked my math teacher about his recs that day because it turned out that he hadn’t done them yet!
also, how exactly do you know that? I’ve been combing through the internet lately, trying to find any information I can about Ross.
@Eodmgi I was actually up in Columbus last weekend and Dr. Shapiro was there and someone asked about Ross and he spouted off a few statistics.

I was just accepted 2 days ago. Just a question, did anyone receive a financial aid email from them yet?

Does anyone going there play tennis? And can we even play tennis while we’re there?
