Ross non PA chances

Freshman applying to Ross. I know my chances are very very slim given the number of applicants this year (I imagine) and the rise in average GPA from two years ago.

Anyway,

1st sem: 2.8
2nd sem: 3.33

Took 18 credits second sem. to make up for low 1st sem. gpa but one class screwed me over....dropped my overall from a 3.71 to a 3.33.

EC's
-Started business, working with retailers and vendors at this stage
-two Umich business clubs
-worked with production company in shooting documentary
-photography: I run a small business (not really a business) shooting graduations, senior pictures, etc. Got a couple awards
-worked part time at a restaurant

Essays
-Spent a lot of time on my essays....wrote about how I work for a consulting company in the field of nation branding.

Do I got a shot?

It's not impossible but that GPA makes it pretty tough. The great EC's give you a chance. Side note: what do consulting firms do with nation branding? They consult national governments?

How did you do in your Econ classes and Calculus?

not that stellar. Both B's.

Discovered that I really don't like econ, which is what worries me. I want to go into business but if I don't get into ross (most likely) I'd have to major in econ which I don't want to do.

Why would you assume you need to major in econ to go into business. Tons of people who want to go into business major in econ, but your resume would probably be more marketable if you majored in something like math.

That's the thing though, i don't really like math. I'm thinking of history + a minor in statistics but even to me that doesn't very logical for a business career path.

buuuump.....
