Ross pre-admit notifications

Hi guys!

I was accepted to LSA today and i applied to Ross as a pre-admit. Does any one know when Ross notifies of pre-admit decisions? Should I be expecting to receive it soon or in a few months?

Thanks! Go Blue!

I got notified in 2 and a half weeks, but the site says they can take up to 6 weeks

I’m in the same situation! Congrats on getting into LSA!

Is there anybody who had to wait longer than 2.5 weeks before hearing?

^^
They release batches of decisions at a time. Last year, the first batch of PA decisions came out in mid-december, but lsa/engineering started releasing decisions around september/october. In short, the timing of your decision release date is not necessarily decided by when they receive your app, it’s more dependent on when the next wave of decisions is scheduled.

I think for Ross though due to the small volume of applications it isn’t in batches. Not too sure though

Do they notify you by email? I think decisions wont come out until at least january since they are just releasing early action

Yea it is by email. In fact nothing on WA can even tell you that you applied for Ross, at least it did not for me

Thanks guys!

so it looks like i should expect a decision via email in the beginning of january?

I’m very anxious to hear!

Thanks for the help!!

On the website, it says up to 16 weeks. But hopefully that isn’t the case…

My only confusion is does that 16 weeks in reference to the date you submitted your app or to when you’re accepted to the university? Is it me or is Michigan just not very clear on this?

anyone have an idea when the preadmit decisions are coming out? Early March maybe or not until April?

I received an email from Ross 2-3 days after I was accepted to Arts & Science telling me that they will release their decisions by 15th April. Did anyone receive their email saying a different (possibily earlier) date?

I got an email in mid january that said
'We expect to email you with a Preferred Admission decision within 16 weeks of your admission to U-M, before the deadline to matriculate at the University."

I got the same email

Are you two accepted under EA? Bcoz Im accepted by rolling admissions… that might explain the different email @@;

Yeah I got accepted under EA back on December 16th I believe.

I was accepted under EA and received the email that I would hear back approximately 16 weeks from my acceptance into LSA.

anyone think theres a chance of hearing back soon or probably not till April?

lol knowing Michigan, it’ll be as late as possible. i’d say around april 1

Since they’ve been swamped with more applications than they seem to be able to handle this year (based on their major slow-down in decision turnaround), I doubt we’ll see our decisions for Ross before April. They might even keep them until mid-April (that’s technically where the 16 weeks falls, I think).
