I didn’t apply to UMich early round because my SAT scores would not be delivered in time and I know UMich is pretty strict about the SAT scores arriving no later than the deadline. Thus, I’m stuck in the regular decision pool. I read somewhere that for Ross Pre-Admit, they don’t really consider the Regular Decision applications because most spots are filled early action. Is this true?
Some background for you: I’m an Asian Male, OOS. I have a 2370 SAT I, two 800 SAT IIs (Including 800 in Math II), and I have 4 leadership positions in business-related clubs. I also was a top 10 international award winner in DECA (a marketing competition).
High scores only can take you so far. UMich wants to know WHY you want Ross. Many kids apply with amazing stats and get rejected from the program, even in the regular decision pool when you apply as a Sophomore.
@BostonBrotha Unfortunately yes, it’s true. Ross pre-admit for regular decision candidates are much tougher and they mention it on their webpage.
“Priority Review / Early Action Deadline: Nov. 1.
We give preference to applications completed by the University of Michigan’s Early Action deadline, Nov. 1. We will consider applications completed after Nov. 1 only as space permits.”
