Ross Pre-Admit

I don't know if anyone can answer this, but can I apply to Engineering and the Ross pre-admit program (with the full understanding that if I am accepted into Ross I go to LS&A)?

You should call the office of undergraduate admissions and talk to a councelor. Your question is certainly complex. Or maybe Hoedown can answer the question?

Yeah they replied to my email, said I should have no problem. If I wanted to apply to Ross next year as an engineering student, I would just have to complete the prerequisites for the BBA program (Calc 115, Microeconomics, English Composition)

Interesting ... I had a meeting on Tuesday at my school with Michigan counselors and they outright said that this was not a possiblity. Guess they were wrong. That opens up a few options for me.

The reply I got from U of M:

Yes, you can apply to the College of Engineering as a freshman and also apply to the preferred admissions program for the School of Business. It is recommended that the students begin their freshman year in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts but as long as you fulfill the prerequisites for the School of Business in Engineering you should be able to apply to the School of Business.

Hearing that kinda gets me worried though.

Michigan is visiting my magnet school tommorow (~50 seniors), so I'm going to ask about it tommorow.

I figure if it doesn't work, they talk to me, I point to the email, they admit mistake, I just switch my app to LS&A.
