Ross preferred acceptance rate

  1. How many students apply to Ross?
  2. How many get accepted?
  3. How many students are OOS

I dont know the exact number but I read somewhere about half of ross kids are from out of state (could be wrong) which makes sense that it is similar to the overall in state vs out of state proportion of umich itself. I also dont know how many are accepted but they usually have 500 preferred admit spots per year with around 6000 applying each year (info from 2018 I think) - these statistics could be a little off.

You can find this out from an easy google search. For 2019:

  1. 6707 applicants
  2. 807 admitted
  3. 53% are in-state, 47% are out of state

Anyone have any metrics for the Ross waitlist?

anyone get off waitlist yet

I have not heard anything about the Ross waitlist, but am not surprised given it is likely less than 15 people in total.

Curious - how did you find out it’s only 15 people or so?

Are these stats only for freshman preferred admission or does it include sophomores/mba applicants too. Seems like accepting over 800 for less than 400 freshman spots would give a bad yield and they wouldn’t admit that many. Just wondering …

@icecream70. I picked up that figure from posts in historical blogs. In a presentation, Ross said last year they had 6,707 applicants, 807 preferred admit offers and 516 attending.
