How hard is it to keep the 3.3 that first year as a Preferred Admit to Ross? Does anyone know what percentage are successful?

Assuming you will be taking English 125, Calc, and Econ…not hard at all.

lol you’ll be taking econ 101 and most likely 102, some of the easiest classes at U of M

There is usually at least one person that doesn’t meet the GPA requirement, but you really have to make an effort to **** up. It’s not hard to keep a 3.3.

it will be very easy… just study regularly.

If one studies and actually tries, maintaining a 3.3 GPA is not hard.

if you dont maintain that, you dont belong there. maybe unless you are doing a hard major.
I know a friend who was a preadmit and was in COE to start (which is dumb, like if i cared about my preadmit spot i would have transfered to LSA in a heartbeat because what you do first year does not matter). Anyway he did bad in his hard classes, he started his EECS curriculum because he was done with most requirements in high school, got owned in EECS 280 and a couple classes and ended up with a 3.05. they let him in anyway after he wrote a note to them explaining.
They will be more forgiving about the requirement for a EECS student who is working ahead of his first year classes but i dont think they would care and have the same allowance for a student who tank first year econ or pysch classes
