Ross Preferred Admit

<p>I am a rising senior and I am considering applying to the Ross PA program. I have recently decided that I want to study business. I do not have any business EC. Most of my EC are athletics/volunteer related. The only leadership position I have is as the head of my school's Model UN group. I have around a 3.7 Michigan GPA. My only great stat is my ACT score (35). Although I don't have any business EC or leadership positions and only a mediocre GPA, do I have a shot at Ross PA? I know it's not the end of the world if I don't get it, but it obviously would be nice.</p>

<p>On a side note, two kids from my school got into Ross as seniors this past year. They both had 30's on their ACTs. One had a 4.0, but the other person had a 3.7 or so. They had good leadership EC (vice president of school, treasurer, etc.)...no business EC, though.</p>

<p>Yes, you absolutely do. I was just like you, in fact i had a 3.55 umich gpa and a 35 on the ACT, and some good but hardly business-related ECs. I put together a nice essay about why I had a passion for business, and they took me as a PA</p>

<p>That's the first 30 ACT with a 3.7 GPA I have heard of. Based on other related threads and this info, Ross seems to place a BIG emphasis on the essay for pre-admits.</p>
