Can we please not turn yet another thread into a Duke vs. Michigan debate? While Ross is known to be more prestigious, I think Kelley is a great school and I might have gone there if I was 100% positive that I wanted to go into business. That being said, the average student at Ross will probably have more job/internship opportunities than the average student at Kelley.

Sadly, I think it already has become a debate…really…

“Why were you too stupid to get into a school better than Michigan? I had near perfect test scores, a good GPA after having taken the most AP classes in my school’s history and several good leadership positions and I didn’t get in preadmit. Nothing to be ashamed of on my part. I got waitlisted to Wharton too by the way and I applied RD and didn’t spend too much time on my application.”

Honestly dude, if you have nothing better to do than justify your intelligence to complete strangers by bragging about your high school grades and test scores and how you got waitlisted to wharton, you need to get a ****ing life. I’m sure you’re a reasonably intelligent person having gotten into Duke and Michigan, but many of the comments you make are just so off-base.

Before this post takes another turn toward conflict… Whats everyone’s thoughts about me applying early decision to wharton?its an obvious reach, but i figure its worth a shot. I mean i should have no problem with being locked into wharton if i get accepted? Even though i didnt like penn’s campus or atmosphere… Should i just get over it since i would be in wharton? I picture myself being happier at michigan or indiana though.

Just ditto. As a Ross graduate, I have to say the school is as rigorous as they get; plus, their career services connect you to the best firms in the country. Finally, Ann Arbor gets thrown in. Kelley is a very fine school, though, and it does come with Bloomington, but a degree from Ross opens up a wider future.

Nash3, I would highly advise against applying ED to anywhere where you might not be happy. The fact that you want to apply to UPenn ED but essentially hated it when you visited worries me a bit. Please don’t take this the wrong way, but that comment to me just screams “I am a prestige whore.”

Haha i dont know if i’d classify myself as a prestige whore persay… But i would want to go to penn more so because it is regarded so much higher for business than any other school. Earning a degree from wharton would open doors for the rest of my life and give me a
Head start in business. Other people’s thoughs about applying to penn ed?

I got admitted at both Mendoza and Kelley, I choose Kelley over Mendoza because of a nice scholarship which I received from Kelley. I definitely do not think Mendoza is nearly as in the same league as ross. Ross almost has a killer alumni as Wharton. Proababaly many dont know that in 1995 US news rankings Ross was no.1 with wharton, now it is third. Mendoza is ranked 17th by US news, it can no where near ross. Kelley is also a much better business school than Mendoza as well. Kelley ranks 22nd this year in its MBA program while Mendoza is 34th by USNWR. But still if you want a smaller catholic enviroment choose Mendoza or else go for Kelley, though Michigan LSA is as equally good as both of them.

don’t forget that notre dame has a kick ass chicago influence.

Yeah true Bearcats in recruiting terms Notre Dame is really good. But saying as a whole college and business experience Kelley or Ross will be much better. Kelley classroom experience was ranked no.1 by Princeton Review. And I guess notre dame’s 51k per year is not worth if you are in Kelley with a DA.

Seriously brosen, is sarcasm a second language to you? Can you not grasp the fact that ROF thinks he’s the sh!!t and thinks he goes to the best university in the world, which is obviously miles better than Michigan?

Like I have stated many times, just put ringoffire on ignore. Click on the, “My control panel” at the top of this page and go to the ignore poster area. If we all stop responding to this person, he’ll quit posting here. Perhaps he’ll post more often in the Duke room, where he almost never does currently. Says a lot about someone with an agenda eh?

bearcats, Michigan’s influence in Chicago rivals Notre Dame’s. In Chicago, UofC anfd NU are king…closely followed by Michigan and Notre Dame. UIUC is also highly regarded in Chi-town.

I was responding to the guy earlier who said Notre Dame ~ Kelley. Kelley doesnt have nearly the pull in greater Chicago area

In that case, I agree. ND does trump IU in the Chicago area, although IU has a pretty strong reputation in the Midwest.

“Seriously brosen, is sarcasm a second language to you? Can you not grasp the fact that ROF thinks he’s the sh!!t and thinks he goes to the best university in the world, which is obviously miles better than Michigan?”

I hope ROF was being sarcastic, for his sake. Unfortunately, I think he actually believes the ******** he spews out on this website.

He wasn’t. If you have the time to look over some rubbish he’s said, you should read the “Does Michigan have a volatile future” thread! Because he really believes and supports (and calls people to support him on this forum) what he says, I said what I did.

Honestly, can we STOP with this dumb argument!!!
