That’s probably better than getting a rejection. I don’t know the exact specifics of their admissions process, but if they’re like other programs, they probably do rolling admissions by lab. Assuming you met the bar for general admission, the labs should pick who they want. So if you haven’t heard I’d at least assume you cleared the initial bar. Have you emailed Dr. Kisailus?

@mjj223 I wouldn’t I was reading through the old forums and one person emailed him and then got a prompt rejection letter but idk I still haven’t received anything either

@Sydneympm this is absolutely ridiculous! I have cancelled all my summer plans in hopes of getting this internship. I along with some of my friends in the area have tried contacting with no response. I’m assuming I did not get accepted, but some sort of email or letter would have been much appreciated considering I have no summer internships I could accept
@mjj223 Yes this is terrible and completely unprofessional, I didn’t apply for a few things in hopes of landing this but they never replied. I am safe to assume that i haven’t gotten in and I abandoned all hope like 3 weeks ago, so i tried other places. This is unacceptable, i mean why would they wait this long? ugh im so annoyed
@Sydneympm After severel emails and contacting them, I finally recieved a rejection letter. They said something along the lines of they thougt they had sent me one and must’ve forgot and all the program acceptees were notified months ago. I understand this is a highly prestigious program, and I may have not made the cut, but I deserved to know. Especially when I had asked several times. It was an extensive application along with a fee, and I was notified months late. This is truly unprofessional to say the least. Good luck and Congratulations to all of you accepted into the program. However, if you are reading this thread and plan to apply for the internship next year, make sure you have a back up plan. I had a friend who this happened to in the past and he was devastated because he rejected an internship with NYU in hopes of getting this one. Make sure to keep in constant contact with the program to make sure they “remember” to send you an acceptance or a denial.
