I applied also, and I’m just a bit concerned now because it seems like people have heard back. Does anyone from last year know if they sent rejection or waitlist notifications, or if it means you’re rejected if you don’t hear back? I wouldn’t be too surprised if I didn’t get in though, my stats are not stellar by any means haha

Hey guys! Sorry for the late reply. I got notified on March 28, 2012 about my acceptance by email for Cell Stress Biology. I indeed submitted a resume; however, I don’t think it was required as part of the process. Here are some of my stats that were required by the application (by the way, my stats are also not astounding by any means):

GPA: 4.50 (3.93 unweighted)
Rank: 9 of 1080
SAT: 520 Reading, 700 Math, 620 Writing
Major: Biomedical Engineering
AP Courses taken: AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, AP World History
AP Courses taking: AP Comp Sci, AP Chinese, AP English: Lang/Comp
Courses taken at college: Differential Equations, General Physics I (Mechanics), Stem Cell Bio, etc.
Taking: Linear Algebra, Mutltivariable Calc, General Physics II (E&M), etc.
~Will be receiving A.S. Degree in Mathematics this year.
All A’s Math and Science courses.

Decent essays – I wrote about my experiences dealing with a grandma who’s suffering from insufficient oxygen and use of a tracheostomy in the hospital.

I’m not sure what other stats they required, but if you’d like to know more PM me. I’m not much better compared to the other applicants, trust me.

Also – I believe they are sending out acceptances by how different professors evaluate your profile. If a professor finds your app appealing, then they may request for you to be part of the program. Don’t lose hope! My email says for me to reply by April 29. I believe if certain students do not reply by then, they will send out more requests to other applicants if needed.

so if i still havent got any email, then i should have got rejected? will you be notified if you’re waitlisted?

Half of my friends did not get in mine was late too cuz they thought they lost mine and found mine with the emaol. Call them if u like and it is also alphabetical

@vampyfreak: Could you please explain it a little bit more clearly? I’m a little confused. Are they sending out decisions based on alphabetical order? When did you receive the acceptance e-mail? Do you know if everyone who will be accepted has been contacted?

I think vampy is a ■■■■■… but my daughter got a rejection email from Roswell today. On to other summer plans… she is in at CSSI (Carleton).

The emails are sent accordingly by last names and if you want to know your application status just call Adam kisalius and he will let u know. I called him for a week straight and then he finally rectified my application status as Roswell apparently lost mine.

@intparent I am not a ■■■■■. I am just telling it like it is.
