My son has a full 4 year ROTC Tuition Scholarship from the Marine Corps to attend Miami. He has been accepted into the FSB for Fall 2018.
I was wondering if his merit aid could be used to pay for Room and Board?
@AUNDOME You should call Miami’s One Stop office to confirm, but our experience has been that outside scholarships do not reduce Miami merit awards. Scholarships (Miami and outside) cannot exceed the cost of attendance, but scholarships beyond full tuition can be applied to room and board. If your student moves off campus and scholarships exceed tuition, Miami will issue a refund for the amount over tuition and fees and that amount can be used to pay for off campus housing.
