ROTC at the U of C?

<p>I read that you can enroll in ROTC at UIC since UChicago doesn't have rotc(which is stupid by itself but that's another thread)</p>

<p>Given the stereotypical Chicago student, is there many that actually do this? Would cadets be looked down upon because of their military commitment?</p>

<p>I'm just curious because if I do get into Chicago, my first choice, I'm really interested in Army ROTC and was wondering if it was feasible to even do it.</p>

<p>It is a very small program, and you'd probably get mixed reactions, but I wouldn't know. The Maroon reported about it recently:</p>

<p>I've met one guy in ROTC. Very few students take part in ROTC, and I've heard the commitment is difficult to manage. It's certainly possible to do it, though.</p>
