ROTC Contract Major vs Non-Direct Entry Majors

I have selected Aerospace Engineering as my desired major for NROTC and AFROTC scholarships, however a good number of the schools I am applying to (UW, TAMU, VT, etc.) do not admit students directly into a specific major, but instead have 2 years of general engineering. I was wondering what would happen if you end up in a different engineering major than what is on your ROTC contract, would you end up losing your scholarship?

This feels like a good question for an ROTC-focused forum or an ROTC contact you can find through whatever site manages the scholarship applications. It’s not really an engineering question.
