If I remember correctly, NYU doesn’t have a ROTC but you can take the program at Fordham University. NYU doesn’t have the ROTC due to the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Policy”. However, now that it’s been repealed, I’m not sure if NYU will have ROTC in the future.

They don’t, because it’s not a host school. Interested students, as well as students from other nearby schools participate in it through Fordham, which is a host school. But my question is that some host schools allow cadets to perform their PT at their own schools if it’s a far distance.

My son was part of ROTC and is a NYU student. He had ROTC classes at Fordham (some at the Lincoln Center Fordham and some at the regular Fordham campus). His physical training was early in the morning in Central Park. On weekends, he would often go to different locations for further training and would catch a bus with the other Fordham ROTC cadets from the Fordham campus.

My son had to arrange all of his NYU classes so that they did not conflict with the ROTC classes. Unfortunately, my son had to drop ROTC because he could not no longer coordinate between his major requirements and the ROTC class schedule. Uh, the Army is not too flexible. He could drop ROTC because he did not “contract”.
