Rotc

can someone point me to the ROTC websites where I can apply for ROTC at my local state university? I have looked all over for them, and I don't even understand how to get started. ROTC is my backup if I am not admitted to USNA! Thanks a lot.

in your search box type NROTC. it's a pretty long application so hurry up! you should also check the participating colleges list on the site to make sure your state u does have an NROTC unit.

The Navy ROTC web site is available at: https://www.nrotc.navy.mil

The link to start an application is: https://www.nrotc.navy.mil/application/default.cfm

Scholarship applications for the 2007 scholarship year are now being accepted until January 30, 2007. The application takes several hours to complete, so you should get started on it right away.

you don't apply to the school's rotc unit. You apply directly to NROTC for a scholarship and tell them your top choices of schools. In the end they will tell you what unit you're assigned to. Most people get their #1 choice, and you can change your choices, but I don't know if you'll get your #1 after that.

Applicants who apply early get their first choice. Once some of the ROTC units are filled, the first and second choices for some applicants may not be available; those applicants may end up with their second or third choice. It pays to apply early.
