Rotc

I searched for Penn's ROTC program, and it seems that they only have the NavyROTC program. Can you guys verify this?

Additionally, why aren't there other ROTC programs? (Army, AF, etc)

They definitely have NROTC, I got the scholarship for the Penn unit. I'm not sure why they don't have any others though.

They do the other ROTC programs with Drexel and some other school..

"The Task Force Dragon Army ROTC program is coordinated out of Drexel University for the following "partnership" schools: the University of Pennsylvania, La Salle University, St. Joseph’s University, Rowan University, Rutgers University-Camden, and the University of the Sciences - as well as many other colleges and universities in the Greater Philadelphia area." @ [Homepage

And air force is at St. Joseph's SJU: CAS - Air Force ROTC - Prospective Cadets](http://www.drexel.edu/depts/rotc/index.html)

Are there other universities that provide this type of consortium? (not in the Philadelphia region obviously)
Edit - It seems Yale, Sacred Heart, etc. seem to have a similar program. Any others?

I posted a question similar to the following on another thread but this one seems to be eliciting an actual response, so I'll re-ask. Does applying for ROTC in any way negatively affect your application to the university? This is probably anecdotal, but it seems to me the armed forces are slightly taboo now-a-days.

I don't have anymore knowledge on this subject.. I just knew about the shared programs somehow.... comes from obsessing too much over Penn I guess.

I can't speak for the other ROTCs but NROTC has several different units with crosstown colleges participating. The full list of schools can be found on their website https://www.nrotc.navy.mil.

As for a negative effect on admissions, I certainly hope not, it should have an opposite effect IMO. Political views aside, the military is almost always looked upon positively, and promote great discipline and responsibility. If that is a turnoff to a University that is rather sad.
