I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask, but is it easy to get a ROTC scholarship? Is it easier to join as a freshman in some branches vs. others? Or is it just hard in general?

When I went through, ROTC scholarships were not easy to get. Getting into ROTC was easy, but not the money.

Call the ROTC unit at the colleges you’re interested in and see what they say.

Depends on what you mean by “easy”.

Army ROTC scholarships are actually quite plentiful. If you have decent grades, decent SAT’s and are a leader and/or athlete in your school you stand a good chance.
You will need to pass a physical and physical fitness test as well as meet height/weight standards.

There isn’t as much money available for Navy and AF ROTC scholarships, so they are much more competitive - they also prefer certain majors.
