how much is your gpa supposed to be rounded to?

to the hundredth, right?

ex. 3.754 = 3.75
ex. 3.755 = 3.76

I'm just curious

like it makes a difference.

For high school purposes?
Each school is different... it really depends on the size of your class.
As in bigger the class, the further place to round- all for ranking purposes.

Doesn't really make a difference.

it makes a difference to me

i have a 2.997

i'd like a 3

Haha, i know what you mean, lets just say it would affect my college GPA. Still, same dif, other than simple curiosity, kind of neurotic to worry about it anyway...

@ school here we use 3 sig figs officially, 2 in conversation, and 7 while making jokes about grade-obsessed students.

I think I saw a chances thread somewhere that used 5, though, seriously...O_O

My friends at public schools know theirs to the thousandths place. But I'd say just one decimal place, ie 3.7 is sufficient.

I say two decimal places- one can be misleading.
(ie saying you've got a 4.0 when you've really got a 3.95-ish or so)

Although there really isn't that much of a difference anyway

well, i don't have to worry about decimal places.....i can simply say "4"
