On college applications is it okay to round to the nearest tenth? For example if I get a 4.57 (which will be pretty hard, but I’ll try…) can I put down 4.6? Because 4.6 looks better than 4.57, even though it is only 3 hundredths. It’s just the way the human brain works, when you see the “6” vs the “5”
IMO, no you should not round your GPA up. It is a misrepresentation- you didn’t earn a 4.6, you earned a 4.57.

Agreed.
No you can’t. And if you think any college will take you because you have a 4.6 instead of a 4.57 you are mistaken. In addition, many colleges recalculate GPA based on their own set of criteria (ex. academic subjects only, non-weighted etc.)
Thank you
