Roundup of school-specific, undergraduate ADMISSIONS BLOGS

More seem to be sprouting up…..please add links if you know of such a blog. This is by no means an exhaustive list.

I've noticed some admissions blogs are hosted by admission staff themselves, sometimes with student blog additions, and some just rely on the students....I find the latter less informative than the former, so I've provided two lists below for each type. I am sure there are many many more "official" student-only blogs out there....

Oh, that's pleasant. D has been asked if she wants to be considered for writing an admissions office blog. I'll be sure to share.

Wesleyan senior interviewers blog: Voice! » Applying

Great team effort here! I try to keep an updated list of blogs on the bottom of my original blog, but it gets away from me at times. I try to break out the blogs that are "newsletter style" (meaning, they are announcements about campus events) and ones that talk in real time about the application process...but it has gotten hard to keep up with that.

There are loads of vendors offering blog management now and I think they are helping officers that didn't know much about blogging get involved. It's nice to see this list grow every year.

Curmudgeon's D embracing college admissions in cyberspace? Priceless! Will she be coming to you for advice?

ffscout, I don't know anything about it, nor did she, but it sounded like more of a "daily life of a Rhodent" thing. Her advisor is putting her up for it (over some initial "I can't write" objections of D) because of her "involvement in campus life". I don't think it's "admission's advice" per se.

Carnegie Mellon has a student message board. CMU Message Board

"Rhodent"?? I love it!

Yep. They have fun with the name . D is a member of both Ultimate Frisbee Teams - "Rhodekill" and the ever so dainty "Lady Rhodekill". LOL.

Carleton UNIVERSITY (students) Undergraduate Admissions - CU Blogs

Wabash (admissions) Spreading the Fame

& Dean J-- thanks for all of your constructive input here on CC and on your blog. Even folks who don't have UVa in their sights can learn much from your posts.

Oxford [oxblogster[/url]
