Hello. I am thinking of applying to Rowan’s engineering program next year. I am trying to get an idea of the amount of merit aid that they offer. If anyone has been accepted to Rowan engineering in the past couple years, would you mind sharing your stats and the amount of money you received? Thanks.
@NJRoadie posted a good answer in this thread: http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/rowan-university/2036892-merit-scholarship-chart-old.html#latest
My son is currently a freshman engineering student. He received $6,000 annual merit scholarship. H.S. GPA 3.7, SAT 1320
3.53, 1390, $14k last year
Merit scholarship notification going out this week.
Good wishes to all those waiting!
Great news, does the notification come through mail?
They told me to check email used on the application.
Good luck everyone!
@toast18 I’m wishing you the best!!!
I really hope you are willing to share your stats and merit award for those of us who have to wait a little longer.
I definitely will!
Just received the scholarship email!
$13,000 a year for four years!
SAT 1420, UW GPA 3.9
So exciting!!! I’m just as excited as if you are my own kids!
Ever since I learned the details of Henry Rowan’s gift, I have a great appreciation of Rowan University and its mission in making a difference for students and the wider South Jersey community. I hope everyone who gets a merit award might say a prayer of thanks for (or consider with gratitude) the personal goodness of Henry Rowan. My he Rest In Peace and may his generosity to his community inspire all of us.
I got 2,000…doesn’t really make much of a dent so Rutgers it is!!
@toast18 That is awesome! I think that covers the amount of in-state tuition! Congratulations and good job for all you’ve done to achieve that award!
@flyingsquirrels Did you apply for engineering or biological sciences?
Thank you! And yes, a great big thank you to Henry Rowan for this opportunity!!!
I got my scholarship e-mail from Rowan and grateful to receive 15K, many thanks to Rowan family and University for their generosity.
Congratulations to everyone getting scholarships! I’m waiting for my son to check his email.
@MACmiracle bio sciences, but this is the only place I saw where people were posting what they got, so that’s why I put it here.
@flyingsquirrels Thank you for your reply and I’m sorry you did not receive a better reward.
Your posting is very helpful for everyone who wants to understand the factors that may impact award levels.
I wish you much success!
@MACmiracle aw thanks! I’m guessing it was based more on SAT than GPA since mine was just a 1250. My EC’s weren’t that amazing either so it could be more holistically based as well.
