Rowan Engineering transfer to Rutgers Engineering

Hey, I am a freshman at Rowan in ChemE and I am looking into transferring over to Rutgers after freshman year. Does anybody have any experience with the Rowan to Rutgers Engineering transfer process. I am mostly worried about which credits will and will not transfer - I'm pretty sure FEC 1 and 2 would not but I don't know about comp1 and expository writing and chemistry....
I am also concerned about the first year physics courses Rutgers students go through that Rowan does not. Would I have to make up the 2 semesters of physics I didn't take?
Thanks :P

My son is thinking of going to Rowan next year for ChemE. Would you mind telling me why you are thinking of transferring out of Rowan? Is something wrong? Do you like it? How is their ChemE program/professors?

No, Rowan is just fine. I actually do like the class sizes, university itself (bit too small for my taste) and the engineering curriculum (the Clinics are interactive)
However, the professors are a hit or miss.
(Granted, I am still a first semester freshman, so I have only had one engineering professor - and she is awesome -
from what I hear there are many other good engineering professors and the ones I have meet were really nice)
There are a lot of adjuncts here and I do not like the three I’ve had experience with and I hear horror stories about other bad professors. Not all are bad though. If you carefully plan out your schedule, you can look up a professor on ratemyprofessor.com before enrolling in classes to make sure you only get good professors.

But that is not the reason I want to transfer:
You know Rowan’s Engineering is still new and I don’t think it has a big name outside of NJ/PA/DE/NY area
I want to transfer because Rutgers has a bigger, more well-known name. And I’m afraid to graduate from a school that only has a strong local reputation because in the future I would like to live and work outside of this region.

If there are any Rowan or Rutgers engineering grads that see this post that are successful outside the NJ/PA/DE/NY area, could you let me know as a reply?
