Seems to be quite a few RL representatives here. I visited this page after looking into private schools for my brother, who hopefully will get into Belmont Hill. I hope to clear a few topics which have been discussed.
Firstly, the Harvard situation. By simple search at RL’s matriculation, I found that in 2011 (4) students went to Harvard. In 2012, 3 students went to Harvard, in 2013 (5), and , in 2014 (8). A total of twenty students a Harvard through the years of 2011 - 2014. Belmont Hill has sent 21 students through those years. I also happen to know that several students at BH turned down Harvard for Stanford last year; three students from BH are Stanford freshman in 2015. So, clearly stated BH has sent more students to Harvard than RL in the last few years; however, I think it is really superficial to send your son to a school based off who sends more kids to Harvard (which is the feeling I got when I was reading some of the comments above). I will tell you that attending BH is a life changing move. Academically, I am tested in a rigorous environment everyday; I cant imagine a more rigorous environment. At my previous school my parents used to hate some of my teachers, always complaining (correctly). For parents who have a reputation of hating teachers, they seem to have nothing but the utmost respect for mine. In some of my teachers, I see myself; there character is one in which I wish to model.
