RPI 2015 Early Decisions

Yeah dunno what’s up. ):

Emailed the admissions office just now to ask about the situation, guess this means more waiting.

-Doom

I just got an email saying to go to the apply.rpi.edu site. Maybe you should just check there? Also, I talked to someone who goes there now, and they said that the decisions come out in waves? so possibly over a few days? but good luck! I hope to see you guys there at freshman orientation!!

Yeah i got in, theres an update link on your apply.rpi.edu website login. Then it shows whether you got in or not. It was at exactly 7pm.

-Mcgee

I’ve never recieved any email ever from RPI regarding an apply.rpi.edu login. That could be an issue, haha.

Can’t do much else but wait, hopefully it’ll work out.

-Doom

This is annoying. I don’t have an update link on my login; where on the page is it?

Did you guys originally get your login info sometime awhile back? As far as I know, I never got any web based RPI account setup. The only contact I’ve had with them directly was a snail mail letter confirming my ED application was recieved.

-Doom

Yes, I did. Only my password or birthdate is wrong, so I reset my password and they’re sending me a new one. I’m waiting >.<

“There is no submitted application associated with this account.”

Ugh this is so frustrating.

-Doom

After talking with admissions it turns out I’ve been accepeted!!

Snail mail packet is on its way so they say! (:

-Doom

I called admissions today and turns out they got my birthday wrong. But I’m in!!! Congrats all!

anyone get a good financial aid package, its a TON of money, and idk if my family can even afford it…

What would you consider “good”??
Did you guys go on the accepted students site yet? I’m (Re)Becca Gazda on there, if anyone wants to creep me XD

I’m not in a need-based situation, but the less we need to pay, the better, right? I got a leadership merit award which appears to be ~11k annually. It’s nice, but I wouldn’t mind some more as I’d still be paying atleast 46k a year, and that’s not even accounting for tuition increases.

Also, do you have to pay the 500 deposit to access the /engage/ “accepted students site”? Right now I just get kicked back to the app status page. I haven’t paid yet because I’m thinking about seeing if I can haggle a bit more money before they have me fully bound in.
