My son got accepted at RPI/AMC 7 years program.

congrats mail4nrs! i'm curious as to what ur son's stats are and what he thought of the interview. right now, i'm quite interested in rpi/amc. they sent me the supplemental app two days ago so i still have to get that in. any replies would be appreciated :)

did anyone hear from Union/AMC yet?

Hey Guys I Just Into This Program Im So Pumped

Mail4nrs i interviewed with your son he was great i guess ill see him at rpi if he goes.

Did anyone get a Union/AMC acceptance yet? Nothing yet in the e-mail...

Just got into Union/AMC last night. I am so excited. I love CC. I love you guys.

Law: If you get an interview for RPI/AMC program, I heard it is the tuffest one among other programs. Prepare on Medical Ethics questions like if 14 years old teenager comes to you for abortion and said not to inform her parents, what would you do. There is a good medical ethics link on University of Washington, St. Louise website. Also why Medicine? issues with AMerican Health care system?.......If you need the link to Medical Ethics website, let me know. and also AMC stress more on research.

Topgun11087: Thats great that you guys met. He is still have to hear from other programs and then he will decide.

quick question for those that have been accepted to either the rpi or union programs

when did you interview with AMC?... roughly.... like early jan, late jan, etc.

because i interviewed LAST friday... they said that acceptances/rejections would begin to go out thru email this week... obviously they did for many students... so im wondering if they send them out chronollogically or wat.

thanks guys.... nd congrats

express2nyc,
My son interviewed in Jan. They gave us some information on interview day. Those who were interviewed in Jan/FEb will be notified in early Mar. After Mar., they informed on a weekly basis until last week of interview

I interviewed with AMC for the union program 3 weeks ago. Just got my acceptance e-mail today!

hey mail4nrs, whats the medical ethics website, i have my interview for rpi and union this monday

RPI/AMC is one of the very best programs. Graduates do very well. The average board scores at AMC are the same as the national average. But, the average board scores for the step exams of RPI/AMC program students is more than twenty points above the national average. Every single program student is also in the top half of their medical school class from every past year. This tells u something about the program. I'm having a great time at RPI. Feel free to ask any questions you have about the program.

Here is the link: http://eduserv.hscer.washington.edu/bioethics/toc.html

Can I still be notified about Union/AMC today? Or do I now have to wait until next Friday? Up to what time does AMC send notification e-mails? My friend just got into the RPI/AMC program today, and yet I have heard nothing. AMC sends out ALL notifications during this time right? So, were a few people accepted today and a few people rejected as well? They don't send out rejections later than the acceptances, right? Here's to still hoping I get in...

iceman5043: according to what the lady at Union told me last friday when i went for my AMC interview, acceptance letters will be going out all the way until early april. They started yesterday however. So, it may be another 3 weeks be4 u get ur decision, either accept or reject. I'm in the same boat as u. I am waiting for my decision and the wait is killing me. But we could be waiting for awhile....

So, I guess I'll be waiting until at least next week then!

i wonder if it makes a difference for getting accepted to the Union/AMC program if someone from your school already got into RPI/AMC or Siena/AMC. Do you think AMC would be less willing to accept someone like that (especially from a fairly small school)? IMO, I think it would but I don't know.

mikespan32... no.. ur being paranoid... wat high skool u go to wont determine whether ur gonna be a good doctor
