RPI/AMC or Union College/AMC Med Program?

I am trying to decide between the 7-year RPI/AMC Physician-Scientist and 8-year Union College/AMC medical programs.

I am leaning towards the Union College program, but I heard that RPI better prepares people for medical school.

Is it hard to maintain the 3.50 GPA at RPI? I understand that RPI is primarily an engineering school, and I heard that its use of grade deflation and somewhat rigorous science/math courses may make maintaining a high GPA difficult.

How are the RPI professors? Are they easibly accessible if we are struggling with the coursework?

Yes RPI is a lot of work but totally doable. The cost is about the same for both but RPI is 7years Union is 8 and Union has the MBA portion. My D is at RPI and my S will be going to Union this fall.

I am wondering if anyone has any comments on the 3.5 difficulty level at Union with the trimester system. It would be nice to get some information on that.
