RPI chances

<p>Hey guys, i know that you guys get a lot of these, but would you mind seeing if i could get into RPI?</p>

<p>Degree: RAMP program, Engineering (undecided), business dual major
GPA: 3.1 UW, 3.5 W
2 AP's Junior Year (AB Calc, AP US History) 5 on Calc, 4 on APUSH
4 AP's Senior Year( BC Calc, Physics, Stats, Macroeconomics)
Only took 1 CP class in a core class through HS (Freshman Spanish), 2 elective CP (marketing, marketing II)
Sat:
2050 (660 CR, 720 Math, 670 W)
Retaking in October
Taking SAT II's in November</p>

<p>EC's:
6 years of Tae Kwon Do, Black Belt, 3rd in In house tournament
DECA, reached state championship in Junior Year, working on Senior Year project
Job at Stop and Shop
75 service hours currently, working toward 150 by end of high school
Attended SPLASH program at MIT
didn't get into NHS last year (grades not high enough), but might get in senior year (letters of acceptance come in first week of October)</p>

<p>2 letters of recommendation from Junior year physics teacher, AP calc AP teacher</p>

<p>It looks like you have taken all the right courses and did above the RPI average on your SATs. Grades are a little low, but not out of line. I think RPI is the right sort of school for you to be looking at and have a good chance to get in.</p>

<p>If you have your heart set on RPI, I would go ahead and apply early decision. They say it makes no difference, but I think it does. Schools like to know you really want to be there.</p>

<p>Thank you so much for replying! You really think i have a good shot? its my number one school, so i was thinking of applying ED II so my first term grades come in</p>

<p>Is ED II at RPI after acceptances from other ED programs? We were told by the guidance counselor that is usually the case.</p>

<p>i’m not sure, i have not heard anything of the sort…</p>
