So excited!!! congrats to all!
I just talked to RPI financial aid and they said that your merit aid comes with your financial aid. They also told me that I have some forms they need filled out.
@mom2cats I clicked on the financial aid letter and it gave his loan amount as well as the scholarship. We have all of our FAFSA stuff filed. Perhaps if you don’t have a financial aid letter it’s because of FAFSA stuff missing. If you have file that, then I have no guess! Can’t hurt to call the admissions office to ask though.
Does anyone know if you can appeal and get more merit. 18k won’t be enough.
@TheChuddy
I’m appealing, it is possible, I’ve seen people get more in other threads.
Did RPI specify what the merit was called? My S received the Medal (which was supposed to be $25k) but his merit showed up as $28K
Did your S receive the Medal?
My son received the Medal. His merit shows up as $30,500 because we qualify for a $5,500 loan. His total merit is $25k though. Disappointing.
Admitted. 4.19/4.50 gpa 800 m/ 690 v 800math2/690 physics subject tests. Lots of ec - and volunteer activities. Medal winner.
Would we contact admissions or the financial aid department to appeal aid? I would appeal my grant, so would that be the finaid office?
@treepanda , contact the finaid office
