Today’s the big day for applicants to ED1.
Good luck to everyone, looking forward to good news.
I think it’s at 3pm, anyone know if that is correct?

According to the Application Status Page, decision notification is not until December 15??? Also, the Admissions Twitter feed hasn’t mentioned anything about decisions coming out today. Am I missing something?

@Bing319
Ok, I was looking at c21 of the [common data set](https://provost.rpi.edu/sites/default/files/CDS_2017-2018_0.pdf#overlay-context=institutional-research/common-datasets). I don’t know which one is correct. I would imagine the 10th would be more inline because if you get rejected you need to know with enough time to be able to ed2 elsewhere by the 15th. But maybe not, I don’t know.

The voice message on the RPI admissions line states that ED 1 decisions will be available online starting on 12/15 at 7 pm. I am not sure if they plan to release decisions earlier.

that Dec 11th date must be for a previous year because I just noticed last night that my portal also says December 15th so it looks like it was moved.

Just saw a post we all should check on Dec 15th…

Financial Aid usually comes in a later update a few weeks later. After they college the mid-year report grades from students they will make assessments based on those along with fafsa considerations.

@slimmy I was told by RPI that financial aid comes along with admission letter. I hope we get it next week.

@AJC VERY happy for your son!

@Anninhawaii Thanks so much!

When you log in to see if my son was accepted I received my financial aid information…

We are RD and the waiting is so painful. ???

@GoRedGo When we log in, we only see the admission letter under status update. Is the financial aid provided in a separate letter?

Yes the accepted letter and on the bottom it had an attachment that said financial aid…

I’d guess very good chance of acceptance. Just a point of concern are the waived recommendations, I thought they were required so I’m not sure about that point. According to the common data set it is listed as important. Good luck though, RPI is a very comfortable school with a challenging Aeronautical Engineering program.

@reformedman Waived for recommendations means waived my right to see the recommendation that was submitted.
