RPI - Computer Game Development Academy

Does anyone have experience with the Computer Game Development Academy at RPI? Any other suggestions for a valuable computer programming/game development summer program for DS'14.

You might was to post your question in this forum:

Lots of experienced and helpful people there.

Thanks, YoHo, but DS says he is more interested in the programming side of game development so I don’t think that would be the right place to post. I did post it on the RPI thread hoping that some previous attendees may respond.

My DS, 10th grade, is most interested in the character art and game design side. Maybe they should work together to create a video game.

For DMA and ID tech camp, they do have iPhone app programming classes. Prerequisite is usually Java or C++. Not sure how rigorous the classes are, but the kids have fun at it.

Also DS did java class online thru Johns Hopkins univ CTY. Price is good $700.
