I'm a rising sophomore...and I'm just LOVING RPI! It's a lot of fun if you participate in clubs and events, and i applied for a summer job, and the fact that I'm going to RPI helped me get in (In my opinion). Also, if you go to the career fairs and stuff, you'll notice that a lot of those employers that come to recruit think VERY highly of RPI. RPI is a very well-rounded school, and although it may not be MIT, it's still a great engineering school.

It's all about oppurtunity.

MIT/Stanford/Cornell engineering majors could go into i-banking.

rpi eng cant.

enough said.

Marth1, congrats on studying at RPI. Your right about RPI being a great engineering school. If you haven't done so already you may want to look at undergrad research as a compliment to your work activities. I was hired by Texas Instruments primarily becuase of a great UR project.

ok, its time for a small secret.
You know Olin that crazy school that is chaing engineering education, yeah.
From what I heard, we based some of our ideas of RPI.

RPI is not a bad school, its a good school, you just have Troy. Thats my only issue with it.
Name is not everything in a school, there are many more things.

Just tell that to everyone who goes to an IVY school that name isnt everything....
