RPI or UW at seattle for computer science or biomedical engineering

Hey,I'm having a hard time making the decision. I don't know which one to pick because they are both really good engineering schools but VERY different. I plan to major in computer science or biomedical engineering. Can anyone give me some advice? Based on the professors, internship opportunities and the life in RPI or UW at seattle.

If anyone who are currently enrolled in RPI and UW at seattle can help me with my decision making, I will be very appreciate. Thanks to whoever spend the time read my questions. I have done A LOT of reasearches and I have heard many different oppinions. All the numbers I don’t really care, I just wish someone could tell me honestly, base on their experiences, which one is better?

Are you a direct admit to the CS major at UW Seattle? If not, it requires a very competitive admissions process to declare the major. Other majors may also have competitive admission processes: http://www.washington.edu/uaa/advising/majors/majoff.php

ucbalumnus: Thank you for your time to answering my questionI was accepted as an undecided engineering student at both RPI and UW and I know it could be very competitive but I was wondering which one has better program in CS or BME,the internship opportunity, and the college life. I have to choose a place to study and live for the next 4 year so I really need to make a good decision. I hope the money I spend is worthy.

I believe less than 1/3 of undecided engineering students get accepted into CS at UW. It is very competitive. If you don’t get in what are you going to do? Internship opportunities should be good with Microsoft and Amazon there as well as a lot of smaller tech companies. No idea about BME.

WAPacker:Thank you for answering my question. If I decide to go to UW and major in CS, I’ll do my best to get in the program.
