I think you should give the application your all and go for it!

And yes you should send a resume.

Can you give me any information about other schools that id match with and etc?

You can use the ABET search page to find accredited programs-

[Accredited Programs Search](http://www.abet.org/AccredProgramSearch/AccreditationSearch.aspx)

My biggest concern for you is your EFC, which indicates that your family can’t afford a large payment. I think that you really need to be looking at an instate college. For example, if you are a NYS resident, SUNY Buffalo has an excellent accredited engineering program:

Aerospace Engineering(BS)
Chemical Engineering(BS)
Civil Engineering(BS)
Computer Engineering(BS)
Electrical Engineering(BS)
Environmental Engineering(BS)
Industrial Engineering(BS)
Mechanical Engineering(BS)

http://www.eng.buffalo.edu/

But also apply to RPI since it is your dream and maybe they will come through with enough Financial Aid (hey you never know).

Good luck!

im a tennessee resident but im hoping they’ll give me enough were i can get out with less than 60k in loans over 4 years. I heard to use that rule of thumb when accepting loans…

I would NEVER recommend a kid come out of an undergrad program with $60 K in loans. That is insane. You are unlikely to be awarded that high a loan level without a cosigner. I am on my third kid in college and I have never seen, beyond the Stafford and Perkins loans, loans awarded much above that without a cosigner being required. My older S will have a grand total of $30 K in loans - and $5 K of that we had to cosign.

If you live in Tennessee, be sure to apply to some of the Univ. of Tenn. campuses. At less than $6K a year tuition, you can’t beat it. The programs are ABET accredited as well.

I appreciate the advise but 60k for Rpi is worth it, barely but I know first hand the oppertunities you get from utc and UT since those schools are where 90% of my class goes and while I’m not putting down those schools I am aiming for better for my self I appreciate the advise but it’s not the advise I was asking for…Not to be rude an anyway I like the honest advise

N Im a chatt resident, lived in Knox and by bro graduated from memphis wit a ~4.0 a few years back
