SXG57 where are you from on Long Island? I'm from Long Island and I'm going to Union/AMC also.

i'm from syosset..where are you from?

AASHK87, i just spoke to union's admissions office and they said that 19 people enrolled in the program this year and they have 20 available seats...so they opened up the alternate list for one spot, and the lady told me that they only go to the next person on the alternate list if the previous person calls and formally says that they are not accepting the offer...so if you've decided on barnard, could you please please notify Union/AMC and tell them that you're not accepting the offer...the lady i spoke to was Ann Brown (518-388-6112)

(i'm not trying to sound mean at all, it's just that Union's LIM program was one of my top med program choices, and this is pretty much my last shot at getting in...of course if you do decide to enroll, best of luck, and thanks)

heyy guys thanks. im from long island too lol. dix hills. and i actually know a bunch of people from syosset.

sxg57~ thanks for letting me know. i'm not 100% positive yet but now that i know that you and everyone else is waiting i'll be sure to let them know as soon as i'm sure. they gave me two weeks, so my guess is that they leave enough room to get through the waitlist before september. won't be long though :-)

good luck!

ooh haha really yeah i think i know people form around dix hills...alright, well good luck with whatever decision you make =) take caree...and who do you know from syo? ha

ahh everytime i post stuff about this i feel like im being such a pest...

but the lady did say that they stop going back to the waitlist after may so i dunno how to say this, but im pretty sure if u dont reply by the end of may they wont call any other kids...like me =) hehe...on the waitlist, but you might want to call to confirm this

don't worry i'll remember that but this is still a big decision for me also so i don't want to do anything rashly. i'm probably going to call tomorrow though so you should be fine.

well im really close to ankur kapadia who used to go to syo so i know pretty much all of his old friends. mostly all indians.. ruchi shah in particular whos going (potentially) going to barnard with me. who do you know in dix hills?

Muttontown, I go to Jericho

haha wow i know both of them ruchi's my good friend =) and hey i live in muttontown too

and yeah Aash, I totally understand, its a huge decision and you should definitely take time to consider the options...but man, the more I think about it the more I wish I applied to Barnard. I overreached at a bunch of schools because of the "why not apply and see what happens" rationale. Unfortunately, that left me with a lot of rejections and only a few realistic choices. Oh well, I guess it'll all work out in the end. No matter which choice you make, I will be extremely envious, so congratulations in advance.

and oh yea, Ankur's sister, Kanchi, and my brother, Rishi, were really good friends in high school. And actually, he was friends with Ruchi's sister, Megha (who you prob know also went to Barnard), too. lol the connections are endless...

And slx, where in Muttontown? I live in Muttontown Knolls, off Underhill Blvd.

haha omg do you really know them? ruchi is a really good friend of mine too. i was just on her profile until about two days ago (idk if you guys talk online). whats ur name? and yea im actually dating ankur. what a small world lol

and thanks so much for the congratulations. i'll be making that call as soon as the admissions office opens.

I live on Belle Sonia Court (off Route 106). I think I know where you live.

lol that is sooo crazy...such a small world! i bet you we'll end up running into each other somewhere now (ruchi's grad party) haha...and yay! haha thank you for all of your help!

oh by the way, my name is sheena...lol i had family friends over yesterday for mothers day and they had to leave early because they said they were going to ankur & kanchi's house...haha this is crazy, tell ankur i say hey! =)

haha yea i was at his house yesterday. and ive def met you before.. at dublin or sterling or somewhere (or both)

and i called albany today and said no despite the nice scholarship money i got from union that almost changed my mind. good luck everyone!

loll yeah you do look really familiar
