I've visited both RPI and Case, and like both campuses. What are the big differences and similarities between both of these '2nd tier' engineering schools?

2nd teir?? i suppose if u classify stanford, mit, and CMU first teir....

Yes, I would say that, especially when at the Case open house, they classified themselves as second-tier. I would place RPI on the same level, at least academically. I'm interested in comparisons of the other aspects of the schools, as I think the academics are fairly even.

Anyone else please?

Case - Cleveland
RPI - Troy

Case - 38th
RPI - 42nd

Appears too close to call. Pick which one fits you the best

I guess then that the academics and facilities of both schools are fairly close. Case has more buildings, but they have 4 colleges. Cleveland Rocks, and then RPI has Troylet. RPI is much farther away than Case, 10hr vs 1hr, but I think that might be a good thing for me. I liked both campuses when I went, and felt fairly comfortable, so I guess finances will be a large factor in my decision. I've already got the 15k rensselaer medal, but hopefully I'll get better offers than that from both schools.
